Carl Daniel Jenkinson born 8 February 1992 is a footballer with dual English and Finnish nationality who plays for Arsenal as a defender. He has a British father and a Finnish mother, and has represented both England and Finland at youth international level. Jenkinson signed for Arsenal in June 2011, for an undisclosed fee thought to be around £1 million.

On 16 August 2011, Jenkinson made his Arsenal competitive debut in the final qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League against Udinese, coming on as a second half substitute, replacing the injured Johan Djourou early in the second half. Jenkinson made his Premier League debut against Liverpool on 20 August 2011, starting at right-back. He kept his place in the team, playing in the second leg against Udinese and then at Old Trafford against Manchester United in the Premier League, although he was sent off later in the game for a foul on Javier Hernández. He also assisted Robin van Persie to score Arsenal's second in the game in a 8–2 loss against Manchester United.

Mikel Arteta Amatriain born 26 March 1982 is a Spanish footballer who plays for Arsenal as a midfielder. Arteta started out as a trainee with FC Barcelona but could not break his way into the first team and was eventually loaned to Paris Saint-Germain in the French league. He was then signed by Scottish Premier League club Rangers with whom he would win the domestic treble of the league, Scottish Cup and League Cup in the season of 2002–03. After success in Scotland, Arteta moved to back to Spain to play for Real Sociedad but failed to establish himself within the first team and was loaned to Everton for the remainder of the 2004–05 season, prior to signing permanently in July 2005. He then made a permanent transfer to Arsenal F.C in 2011.

Arteta signed with Arsenal on 31 August 2011 on a four-year deal for a reported fee of £10 million. He made his debut on 10 September in a 1–0 home win against Swansea City. Arteta scored his first Premier League goal for Arsenal in a 4–3 loss against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park. He scored his second goal for the club in a 3–0 home win against West Bromwich Albion.

Daniel Van Buyten (Dutch pronunciation, born 7 February 1978 in Chimay) is a Belgian footballer who plays as a defender and also as an emergency striker for Bayern Munich, following a June 2006 transfer from Hamburg. His father, Franz, was a Belgian popular catcher/wrestler in Europe from 1960 to 1980. His mother, Renate, is a German. In the first leg of the 2006–07 UEFA Champions League quarter-final encounter against Milan at the San Siro, he scored twice with his left foot, once in the 78th minute to take Bayern to 1–1. Then he scored a stoppage time half-volley. This takes his tally to three total UEFA Champions League goals. He scored one for Marseille in 2003 against Real Madrid.
